REFURBISHING CONTEMPORARY SPORTS FACILITIES
Located in the heart of Wickwar, South Gloucestershire, this project was undertaken for Wickwar Parish Council in collaboration with the Wickwar Wanderers Football Club.
Revitalising a sports pavilion
The refurbishment involved modernising the existing pavilion to deliver contemporary sports facilities that meet the needs of today’s athletes and community members.
Key upgrades include updated changing rooms designed to comply fully with Football Association guidelines, ensuring accessible and flexible spaces suitable for various teams and players. Additionally, the pavilion was extended to create a new communal area, providing a welcoming hub for both the football club and local residents to gather and engage.
This revitalised sports pavilion now serves as a central, modern venue that supports the growth of local sport while fostering community spirit.
